Training in - and printing of a “Guide for collectors of wild plants, fungi and lichen according to the principals of organic production” – 0307
Project goal
To create a handbook with the title “Guide for collectors of wild plants, fungi and lichen according to the principals of organic production” which will be a reference guide include all the legal regulative and standards on one place for all collectors of mast and other wild fruits, in order to avoid eventual problems during certification on this kind of economical activity and implementation of trainings.

Considering institutional goals of FACE, for the realization of this project the following tasks will need to be completed:
Preparation of a consistent text on this subject;
Prepare of a graphic design for the guidebook;
Preparation for printing.
The guidebook will focus on these areas:
Review of the existent regulations of the area in Republic of Macedonia;
Basic principals of organic food production – collecting of wild plants;
Principals (standards) for collecting and manipulation with the collected material;
The goal of this project is to strengthen the capacities of the advisors in agriculture from NEA (National extension agency) in Macedonia, with special review in implementation of the program for rural development in Republic of Macedonia for 2007, with emphases on skills for successful preparation and submission of applications in the name of individual farmers or organisations.

Short description
This training is planned as one day event in two parts:
- Theoretical: that will present the general principals of the program for rural development, the priorities and reasons for implementation, the financial support, time frame and selection criteria.
- Practical: filling up the requests by the participants guided by the lecturers, as exercises that will prepare them for the implementation .
This program will repeated 4 times in different regions in Macedonia, in order to cover app. 100 advisors.

“Training for collectors and traders of wild aromatic and medicinal plants according to the principals of organic production” – 0507
Project goal
To instruct the collectors and traders of aromatic and medicinal wild plants for adequate implementation of rules and regulations covering this area in order to satisfy all the legal regulations, the good production practice and the principals of integrated management of the natural resources.
