Short Description
The internship of the VET students in the Agricultural companies, improve the knowledge of the students, and enables the students to understand the relevance of what they have learned over their education classes and provides an up-close look at workplaces and careers. On the other side, the job-shadowing trainings for the teachers are continuous processes that promote teachers’ teaching skills, master new knowledge, develop new proficiency, which in turn, help improve the students’ learning.
All the students involved in this project come from vocational education schools; therefore the practical training is a key aspect of their professional development. The practical training will take place in companies which will be chosen based on the background educational profile of each student. This training will meet the needs of the students to adapt what they have learned in practice and develop professionally work-based skills in the field of their studies, improve employability and enhance the career prospects, develop sense of initiative and entrepreneurship and to increase motivation for taking part in future (formal/non-formal) education or training after the mobility period abroad. The needs of the Teachers/Staff for job-shadowing training are to develop new and better teaching methods and innovative approaches to learning in agriculture, especially in the practical training of the students; promote the formal recognition of skills and competences acquired through professional development activities abroad; acquire up-to-date information and new research on agriculture, on emerging technology tools for bio production, new bio-production methods and to be able to develop a European dimension in school education.
