Project Goals
The general objective of the project will be: To raise the awareness of Roma adults, and parents of children, of the risks and dangers brought by early marriages among their children, under the age of 16, in terms of their marginalization and social exclusion.
Specific objective 1: Increase to a higher level the skills of social mentors, for the Roma community, among the members of the partner organizations;
Specific objective 2: increasing the level of information/awareness among Roma adults, from the communities involved in the project, regarding the risks and dangers brought by early marriages among their children, under the age of 16, in terms of marginalization and their social exclusion.

Short description:
Achieving the general objective as well as the specific objective 2 creates learning opportunities among adult Roma citizens, from the communities where the partner organizations operate.
By implementing the project we want to increase the level of knowledge of the 16 social mentors for ROMA, public speaking and advocacy of the members of the partner organizations ,to raise awareness, among the 400 adult ROMA, about the dangers and risks of early marriages among Roma children and to achieve a better social inclusion of Roma people involved.
To achieve our objectives, we will implement the following activities:
– selection of 16 social mentors for Roma (4 mentors /each partner organization)
– elaboration course Support for the Roma social mentors
– conducting the training course for mentors
– elaboration of the Informed/Awareness Campaign Plan
– conducting the Informed/Awareness Campaign with the involvement of at least 400 adult Roma
– organizing local events and transnational and dissemination conference.
